Helvetica
Like I said in class, I normally fall asleep or get very bored during documentaries, but this one really shocked me. It was very entertaining, and very informative.
Who knew a font could cause so much controversy? It was interesting to see different viewpoints of those who love Helvetica and those who don’t. One woman even went as far to say that Helvetica caused the war in Iraq.
and OMG! Erik Spiekermann? h i l a r i o u s! Michael Bierut, was great too. “Enjoy. coke. period. ”
It’s funny, the way all these people/designers were talking about Helvetica, it became almost like they were talking about a person.
I can’t wait for this to come out on DVD in November.
